Thursday, 21 January 2016 we treated about the instruments needed for you to start your own home studio by producing musical sounds for yourself and for other musicians.

So, today we will be talking about the sound production software. Remember, our sample is FL studio platform and we assumed you might have installed it on your device. its free online. having installed it, click on it on your desktop and it will appear just like the image caption below,

 Okey!, by mere looking at the platform, you see it is well numbered beeing the functions. I'm going to put you through on the various functions of those parts briefly.

No1: THE VOLUME ADJUSTER:

This is the master volume of the entire studio platform.Though, some instruments have its own adjustable volumes but, the master volume synchronizes the entire volume. i.e, make it have a uniform volume.

No2: THE STEP Contains THE BEAT DISPLAY AT TOP AND THE MINUTE TIME DISPLAY AT THE BOTTOM:

This takes care of seconds, minutes and if any hours spent in a particular track playing. Not much important to our lecture

No3: PAT:

To make a particular line of sound produced at the step sequencer play alone. i.e if you want to test only the kick sound and know how it plays.

No4: SONG: 

click it if you want to play the entire song.

No5: PLAY BUTTON:

To play the particular song selected.

NO6: STOP BUTTON:

To stop a sequencer or song playing.

No7: RECORD BUTTON:

After sound production, when you want to record your song. i.e voice in your real song in line with the sound. Watch out for the full tutorial on recording latter.

No8: TEMPO ICON:

This determines how fast you want a particular beat to be running. Increasing the Tempo makes a song to be either fast or slow.

No9: PLAY LIST:

The sequential arrangement of your song is done here in a block patches form. This is where the play-head robs to play your sound. Your sequential arrangement here determines the organization of your sound. Latter on this playlist.

No10: STEP SEQUENCER:

Where the pattern of your instrument is chose. left-clicking any instrument here triggers the instrument to produce a sound. Many instruments are imported here according to your choice from the PACK stack at the left side of the software.

No11: PIANO ROLL:

The quite astounding feature of FL studio is the piano roll. This gives you the opportunity to achieve exactly the same sound as produced by physical pianos or organ. More lecture on how to use it latter.

No12: THE BROWSER:

This is located at the left-side part of the software. It contains the pack that houses the instruments. The mixer presets, Misc, channel presets and so many other settings.

No13: THE MIXER-MASTER:

The mixer-master is where you insert all the instruments used in creating your sound to a particular mixer instrument that controls the instruments used in your sound to be able to adjust to an appreciable pitch as desired by you. It controls the MASTER VOLUME OF THE MIXER.

No14: PACK:

Is located in the browser, where all the instruments are loaded.

No15: Patterns In step SEQUENCER: 

The pattern is played as the part to test a particular instruments sound like, testing the kick.

Quite a long period before today's lecture, i must have to apologize for allowing you have lost of memory on our last lecture. But, you can as well re-visit my first lecture before continuing with today's own.
Well, I'm gonna be ushering in the practical aspect of music sound production, by listing the few instruments you need as a beginner:

HERE ARE WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE TO START;

The good thing about Technology is that, it makes it easier for every grade of individual to participate in his choice of charrier even though you lack the finance. Today, as it stands, You can easily owe your own studio at the comfort of your home and still be practicing. This is what i have been doing since 2007 and have perfected in Music sound production for 8 years now.
    Anyway, you might not know me but, my fans and fellow sound engineers know me well. This is not an accident because, SLUM BEAT is as a result of neglected environment of the East part of Nigeria where most tarlents are hidden.

My name is Kingsley iheanyi popularly known as KinSzoo Demini. Here is where i will be teaching those of us who have the Music style in us but don't know how to start.
 There are many softwares that you can use to achieve a tremendous sound and have your own Unique sound recorded but, as i promised, i will be guiding you on my own practicality. Here we will make use of software called 'FruityLoops' yes! i'm in love with fruity loops because of it's unique nature and most producers uses it. Sample is FL9.

                                            WHAT IS FRUITY LOOPS (FL STUDIO)?
FL Studio is a full-featured music production environment capable of multi-track audio recording, sequencing and mixing for the creation of professional quality music tracks. With VST/DX hosting, 32-Bit internal mixing, advanced MIDI, DX and Re Wire support, no musical style will be beyond your reach. Songs or loops can be exported to .wav, .mp3, .ogg or .mid format. And, piano Roll is an astounding feature of FL Studio. You need no physical piano to achieve an exact sound as with piano.

We have nine main features of FL studio but, we are going to treat only 3 today and keep in touch with SLUM BEAT because, a sound lifter is arround. The  3 features for today are:
